This reminds me of the movie “Good Night and Good Luck”. When shown to students, they couldn’t believe the actor playing McCarthy was believable because he was overacting and exaggerating everything. Thing is, they used real footage of McCarthy calling everybody a “communist”.

McCarthy didn’t have social media to pump full of subsidized BS…
He had three networks (or was it just two) to put the fear of God in all of the U.S.
