*EXTRA!! EXTRA!! KEEF WILL BE FEATURED ON “THE STORY”...
Nice!! One of my favorite shows on American Public Media will be doing an interview with me tomorrow, Wednesday, at 11am. I’ll be talking about my career..launching a daily strip and having a kid at the same time…and the downturn of the newspaper industry. Not sure if it will be airing tomorrow night or what. Probably not. Once I find out, I’ll post it.
*FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF THE KNIGHT LIFE!!
Who’d a thunk I’d make it this far drawin’ at least 9 comics a week? Anyhoo, thanks to everyone who has been following the strip and giving me suggestions as to what paper to try ‘n’ get in next. It’s been fun, and if I’d known I’d be able to pull this off, I would’ve done it ten years ago. And I’d be rich I tell ya…RICH!!
What can you do to help take the strip worldwide? Keep on sending in suggestions of newspapers. And write to them asking that they add the Knight Life. Pound the message boards with links to this site. And turn all yer friends onto the strip. And buy the first collection when it comes out later this year (more details to come!!).
*NATIONAL CARTOONISTS SOCIETY..
is in Los Angeles this weekend for their annual convention. That means every big time newspaper cartoonist will be here. I’m not a member, but I hope to crash the cocktail party like I did in San Francisco a few years back.
I’ll also be having a conversation with most excellent editorial and Zits cartoonist Jim Borgman, for the 300th issue of the Comics Journal.
Things are-a-brewin’…

It’s not Wednesday’s show, for sure. (FYI, first air is 1 pm EST – it comes out of our local NPR station, WUNC in Chapel Hill, NC. )
Folks,
The interview airs TUESDAY, MAY 26TH. Check http://www.thestory.org for time and station!!
I heard you on The Story and you were great. I hadn’t heard about you before but I’ve been reading up all evening.
P.S. I have an evil twin too. (She’d probably say the exact same thing though!)
I caught it, and it was v. good. But I’m partial to the long-form interviews they can do on The Story.
If you missed the broadcast, you can listen to it at the archives of the show.

Too bad it was preempted in Los Angeles. (Curse you KPCC!!)
